Tao Liu is a Distinguished Professor, Principal Investigator (PI) and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Medical Sciences and Tianjian Advanced Biomedical Laboratory, Zhengzhou University. He obtained his PhD from the University of New South Wales, Australia. Before returning to China, he served as an Australian Research Council Future Fellow and Head of the Gene Dysregulation Group at the Children's Cancer Institute Australia. He has published first-author and corresponding-author research papers in journals including Nature Communications, Cell Death & Differentiation, PNAS, Advanced Science, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research and JNCI. He has presided over multiple research projects funded by the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) of Australia, and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He serves as an editorial board member for several journals, and has supervised more than ten PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
