2026
The conference is scheduled to be held in the Bo'ao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone, Bo'ao, Qionghai, Hainan, China

Nestled on the eastern coast of Qionghai, Hainan, Bo'ao is the permanent venue of the Bo'ao Forum for Asia. Strategically located at the confluence and estuary of the Wanquan River, Jiuqu River, and Longgun River, it is embraced by three ridges—Longtan Ridge, Jinniu Ridge, and Tianyong Ridge. Integrating mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, and seas, this area has been hailed by UN environmental experts as the world's most intact natural landscape at a river estuary. As a mature international exchange platform, Bo'ao boasts an open and inclusive international atmosphere, a comprehensive support system, and a well-connected three-dimensional transportation network. Proximate to Bo'ao Airport and Bo'ao Station on the Hainan Ring High-Speed Railway, it enables efficient connectivity to major cities both on and off the island, providing convenient conditions for global scholars to gather and exchange ideas.
Established in 2013 with the approval of the State Council, the Bo'ao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone is China's only "medical special zone." Situated along the banks of the Wanquan River between Jiaji Town, Qionghai, and the core area of the Bo'ao Forum for Asia, it serves as a "test bed" for deepening the reform of medical and pharmaceutical review and approval in China. Leveraging the policy dividends of "pioneering trials," Lecheng has introduced 36 operational medical institutions and over 530 types of licensed medical devices and pharmaceuticals cumulatively. It has facilitated the accelerated domestic launch of 21 international innovative medical products, constructing a medical ecosystem featuring "introduction-application-innovation." Currently, it is advancing toward the goals of establishing distinctive and advanced clinical medicine centers by 2025, and building a world-class international medical tourism destination and medical technology innovation platform by 2030. This provides unique practical scenarios and policy support for the medical translation topics focused on at this conference.
